Dan and I have an absolute favorite breakfast place in Ames – The Cafe. Oh my tastebuds tingle and explode at the thought of their griddled raisin walnut bread dipped in eggs and cream or their breakfast quesadilla filled with sausage, caramelized onions, roasted red peppers, scrambled eggs and cheese… c’mon. Just… c’mon. Plus they give free refills on coffee… so… yeah. We like it.
Our last visit was another example of the babies bringing joy wherever they go. From a booth across the way we heard, “bring that baby over here!”
Eleanor and Dan chatted with three women for a good five minutes about twin life. I could just see the joy across their faces. Praise God for being made in his image and sharing his love with everyone around us. And for sourdough french toast with blueberry syrup. That too.
