Comfort Zone

In the past few days I have used the phrase "out of my comfort zone" a number of times. I'm assuming that you who know this small town Wisconsin, midwest loving girl could gather why :)

But I have decided that I don't like that phrase. I don't like what it stands for.  I want to have such confidence in who I am and in Who cares for me. I want my comfort zone to be a steady well of life within me, that goes with me no matter where I am.

As my dad would say, I know who I am and Whose I am. And because of that my comfort zone is wherever I am.

That being said, I do love my midwest roots! I just read an article about famous folks from Wisconsin, another about a favorite venue of mine in my Alma Mater's state (Minnesota) having the best bathroom in America, nothing too interesting was found about Iowa but I still am fond of it. And my Facebook newsfeed is constantly bombarded with the beauty of Autumn in a place with four distinct seasons.

So, yes. I miss my family, my friends, the places, foods, and side of the road I'm used to. But, friends, I'm good.

I have an 8 month post for the babies coming up! So, you can look forward to that. In the meantime, here are a few adorables to hold you over, grandma. ;)
